Cardiac Dimensions, Inc., a Kirkland, Washington-based developer of minimally invasive treatment modalities to address heart failure and related cardiovascular conditions, completed a $20m financing.
The round was led by M. H. Carnegie & Co. and Lumira Capital with participation from a syndicate of institutional investors from Australia, the U.S. and Canada.
The company intends to use the funds to expand global operations throughout Asia Pacific and Europe, and extend its commercial, R&D and clinical activities.
Led by Rick Stewart, Chief Executive Officer, Cardiac Dimensions has developed the initial technology platform, the CARILLON Mitral Contour , which has been designed to address functional mitral regurgitation, utilizing a novel percutaneous approach. The company has operations in Sydney, Australia and Frankfurt, Germany.
