MovieLaLa_New_LogoMovieLaLa, a San Francisco, CA-based social network and movie marketing platform for upcoming movies, received additional funding from Marc Benioff, the founder, chairman and CEO of Salesforce.com (NASDAQ: CRM).

With this investment, the total amount of the company’s seed funding and angel investments has reached $750k. He joined Allen DeBevoise, Jim Moloshok, Larry Braitman; Angie Wang; and Adam Nash.

MovieLaLa intends to use capital to expand operations.

Led by Dana Loberg, CEO and co-founder, the company provides a data-driven marketing platform for studios offering a social network for movie fans and target audience data for movie studios. Viewers will be able to discover coming attractions through a personalized Hollywood feed based on their friends and favorite stars, while movie marketers can increase the buzz and engagement surrounding upcoming movies.
