Pure Storage Closes $225M Series F Funding

purestoragePure Storage, a Mountain View, CA-based all-flash enterprise storage array company, closed a $225m Series F funding round at a pre-money valuation of over $3bn.

Backers included T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. and Tiger Global and new investor Wellington Management Company as well as existing venture capital investors Greylock Partners, Index Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and Sutter Hill Ventures.

The company, which has now raised a total of $470m, intends to use the funds to invest in engineering, sales, marketing and channel partner enablement.

Led by Scott Dietzen, CEO, Pure Storage provides Pure Storage all-flash enterprise arrays for high performance workloads, including server virtualization, desktop virtualization (VDI), database (OLTP, real-time analytics) and cloud computing.
