Vision Knight Capital, a Chinese private equity firm, closed its second private equity fund, at $550m.
Backers included a mix of global institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, endowments and foundations, diversified financial institutions and family offices.
Vision Knight Capital China Fund II will make investments in China’s retail and consumer internet and e-commerce sectors.
The firm, founded by Mr.David Wei and Dr.Daming Zhu in May 2011, was represented by Kirkland & Ellis, a 1,600-attorney law firm representing global clients in complex private funds, corporate/M&A, restructuring and tax, litigation and dispute resolution/arbitration, and intellectual property and technology matters.
