Factorli, a Las Vegas-based manufacturing startup, raised $10m in Series A round of funding.
Backers included Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com, and the VegasTechFund.
Founded by Jen McCabe, Factorli provides a channel for companies to manufacture new hardware products in small volumes before commercial mass production.
The company will manufacture small-envelope consumer electronic products at small volumes in a three building campus, located in the heart of the Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas. Operations are housed in 25,000 square feet of factory space being outfitted with new production line machinery, plus an industrial 3D printer, laser cutter, and other tools designers, engineers, and startup teams need for burst prototyping during manufacturing.
The company is equipped to provide sub-assembly, final assembly, rework, and fulfillment, as well as parts fabrication of plastics, metals, and RoHS-compliant printed circuit boards. Services encompass packaging and safety and certification testing.
