Hassle.com Closes $6M in Series A Funding

-

hassle-logo-reversedHassle.com, a London, UK-based online marketplace that connects busy people with local, trusted cleaners, closed $6m in Series A funding.

Accel Partners provided the funding.

The company intends to use the funds to expand into major cities in the UK and Europe.

Co-founded by Alex Depledge, CEO, Tom Nimmo, CTO, and Jules Coleman, CPO, Hassle.com is trying to disrupt the billion-dollar cleaning services market for the home by bringing the process of finding, booking and paying for a cleaner online. To this end, the company operates an online marketplace that matches busy working professionals with local trusted cleaners for the home. It allows users to find, book and pay for cleaner’s time via its online platform by typing in their postcode and choosing a cleaner that suits their needs. Cleaners on the platform charge a flat rate of £10 per hour.

Hassle.com is a graduate of the UK accelerator programme Springboard (now known as TechStars London) and won Start-Up of the Year at Tech City Awards in 2013.
