HouseCall, a San Diego, CA-based app for the house, raised an additional $1.5m in strategic funding.
The round was led by Canter Capital with participation from KGC Capital.
The company, which had previously raised $1.5m from e.ventures, intends to develop an Android version for both homeowners and service professionals for release this summer, and launch into new geographies.
Led by Ian Heidt, CEO, HouseCall is a two-sided marketplace that allows homeowners to connect with locally recommended home service professionals for home maintenance via the HouseCall app. Available services include handyman, electrical, plumbing, maid service, carpet cleaning, emergency locksmiths, window washing, tech geek support, etc.
Service professionals can access to the HouseCall Pro app to manage their schedule, workflow, customer database, payments and invoices all from their smartphone.
The app is now available in San Diego and can be downloaded in the App Store on the iOS device.
