Incentive Corp., a Malmo, Sweden-and Los Angeles, Calif.-based provider of a private social intranet service for SMBs, raised $2.3m in funding.
The company intends to use the funds to strengthen relationships with its base of U.S. customers and acquire new customers. It plans to double its sales force in the U.S., as well as the development team in Sweden during the course of this year, and is in talks with U.S. companies, government and defense organizations
Led by Rickard Hansson, founder and CEO, Incentive provides a suite of private social collaboration tools that allows SMBs to protect their information.
The solution features activity streams, wikis, blogs, and apps hosted securely behind a firewall or in a company’s private cloud. It links information to the creator so the entire team can see who is an expert in different areas. A search box lets organizations identify knowledge centers within the company, organize groups, projects, subjects, and departments and share activity streams via wikis and blogs in a secure environment.
The company was founded in 2008 in Malmo, Sweden.
