Global venture capital and private equity firm Insight Venture Partners closed a $510m private equity fund.
Existing investors contributed a majority of the capital to Insight Venture Partners Coinvestment Fund III, which will invest alongside Insight Venture Partners VIII, which closed at $2.57 billion in May 2013.
Like its predecessors, this fund will make equity investments of $15m and higher in global software, internet, and data-services businesses.
Founded in 1995 by Jeff Horing, managing director, Insight has raised more than $8 billion and invested in more than 200 companies worldwide.
