OpenDNS, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a cloud-delivered security platform, raised $35m in funding.
Backers included existing investors Greylock Partners, Sequoia Capital and Sutter Hill Ventures and new investors Glynn Capital, Cisco, Evolution Capital, Lumia Capital, Mohr Davidow Ventures, and Northgate Capital.
Led by David Ulevitch, CEO, OpenDNS is a provider of Internet security and DNS services. It leverages a global delivery mechanism for security called Umbrella, and an advanced predictive threat intelligence platform called Security Graph, which, combined, provide protection from advanced attacks, as well as malware, botnets and phishing threats anywhere, anytime and on any device.
In addition to the 50 million daily active users of its services, The company serves more than 10,000 enterprise customers.
