Spotlime, a Milan, Italy-based provider of an app to discover events, raised €200k in seed funding.
Backers included investors from Italian Business Angel Network (IBAN) and one of the co-founders of Fastweb.
The company intends to use the funds to consolidate its presence in Milan and grow in Italy and internationally.
Co-founded by Francesco Rieppi, CEO, Francesco De Liva, CTO, Spotlime analyzes the interaction of its users with the events listed and automatically detects preferences and sorts out a personalized selection of top 10 events on a daily basis.
The user can then compare and buy tickets for concerts, cocktails, clubs, shows, etc. with the opportunity to enjoy exclusive deals (free drinks, VIP list access, reserved seats, etc.).
The company currently has a team of 9 with the app – available for iPhone e Android – already generating revenue derived from commissions from event organizers for each purchase or reservation made.
Launched in December 2013, it has published more than 1400 events.
