Financial Tech Inc. (doing business as Standard Treasury), a San Francisco, California-based startup that develops software for financial institutions, raised $2.7m in seed funding.
According to the WSJ (read here), backers included RRE Ventures, Index Ventures, Data Collective, SV Angel, Y Combinator, Jay Mandelbaum, Paul Bucheit, and other unnamed investors.
Co-founded in 2013 by CEO Dan Kimerling, Zachary Townsend, and Brent Goldman, Standard Treasury provides solutions that enable enterprises to interface with their bank accounts. The company, which was part of YC’ 2013 summer class, designs and implements financial APIs for developers and customized technologies for banks.
