Survios Raises $4M in Series A Funding

survios_logoSurvios, a Los Angeles-based provider of a platform that brings full body motion technology into virtual reality, raised $4m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Shasta Ventures, with participation from Renata Quintini of Felicis Ventures and Gen Isayama of World Innovation Lab. In conjunction with the funding, Rob Coneybeer, Managing Director at Shasta Ventures, will join Survios’ board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand the team of VR designers and engineers to accelerate the development of its technology (http://www.survios.com/careers/).

Founded in 2013 by Nathan Burba, CEO, and James Iliff, CCO, Survios is developing a platform for virtual reality gaming and entertainment which aims to bring physical movement into the user experience, allowing for intuitive and natural interactions. With their current prototypes, players can interact in full three dimensions.
