FightMe, a London, UK-based collaborative social video network that invites users to join in challenges and create their own, closed $1.35m seed funding.
Backers included HTG Ventures, Daniel and Raphael Khalili (whose other investments include Summly), David Reuben Junior of Reuben Brothers Ltd and Mercevents Ltd.
The company, which has now raised $1.85m, intends to use the funds to grow its team, launch its app for Android, host a series of events and to continue to establish its presence in the US market.
Founded in 2013 by Joelle Hadfield and Jamie Lorenz, FightMe is a collaborative social video network that invites users to join in challenges and create their own. The app allows users to showcase any talent or opinion while allowing others the ability to join in directly. Users create a 30-second video about whatever they want to share with the world, then invite a dedicated global community to take part in a friendly challenge.
