Freshdesk, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of cloud-based customer support software, completed a $31m funding.
The round was led by Tiger Global Management, with participation from Accel Partners and Google Capital.
The company, which has raised $44m to date, intends to use the funds to accelerate global expansion and ramp up R&D for Freshservice, the IT Service Desk solution launched in January.
Launched in 2011 by Girish Mathrubootham, CEO, Freshdesk provides SaaS customer support software which allows organizations to support their customers through emails, phone calls, websites, forums and social media channels. It is used by 23,000 customers in 175 countries.
The company also has a development center in Chennai, India.
