wikifolio, a Vienna, Austria-based web service for small investors and traders, raised €6m in funding.
Backers included VHB Ventures, Lang & Schwarz, Michael Grabner Media, Michael Altrichter and Speed Invest and a group of private investors including Jörg Flöck.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its team and accelerate its expansion into new markets beyond Austria and Germany.
Led by Andreas Kern, CEO and founder, wikifolio provides an online platform, wikifolio.com, which gives traders the possibility to publish their stock investment strategies in form of “wikifolios”. After a period of evaluation and testing, they are converted into an investable financial product.
