SavvyCard Closes $1.5M Series A Funding Round

savvycardSavvyCard, a St. Petersburg, Florida-based startup developing a web application platform for mobile devices, closed a $1.5m Series A funding round in May 2014.

Backers included accredited investors by Florida Funders, who committed $80k. Other investors were not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds plans to use the funding for expanding sales and R&D activities in Real Estate, the company’s initial market.

Led by David Etheredge, CEO and Founder, SavvyCard provides a mobile marketing platform that facilitates referrals, among its users. It allows users to build sharable, mobile optimized websites that can be tailored for any use. SavvyCards can be shared via email and text, allowing users to pass on referrals for people, products and services whether or not the recipient is a SavvyCard user.

Clients include the Miami Association of Realtors and the Pinellas Realtors Organization.
