Yo, a San Francisco, CA-based communications app, closed $1.5m in funding.
Backers included Betaworks, Mashable founder Pete Cashmore, and other undisclosed investors.
The company intends to use the funds to enhance its messaging platform.
Led by Or Arbel, CEO, Yo is the app – available for Android and iPhone, that only says “yo”. The company is now focusing both on user acquisition and developing an API for businesses, brands, and other apps.
