GuardiCore, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based developer of security solutions for modern data centers, closed an $11m round of funding.
The round was led by Battery Ventures, with participation from Greylock IL and undisclosed strategic investors. As part of the investment, Battery general partner Scott Tobin will join GuardiCore’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to expand, productize and sell its technology.
Led by Pavel Gurvich, CEO, GuardiCore provides a platform that tracks and eliminates intruders inside data center networks. Its first component, called “Active Honeypot”, responds to attacks by dynamically re-routing traffic, without the attacker knowing, to a highly monitored stealth “ambush” server.
It is currently entering evaluation at private clouds and data centers of enterprise customers and data center service providers.
