Crestlight Ventures, a Palo Alto, California-based venture capital firm, launched a new initiative focused on the Internet of Things.
Led by Managing Partners David Borlo and Jens Hortsmann, The Connected Industry Fund™ will focus on making investments in startups providing business solutions in areas such as supply chain management, inventory replenishment, transportation, security, big-data, advanced analytics, machine learning and other critical areas that drive value in retail and manufacturing.
The firm’s portfolio will benefit from an operational venture model called Lean Equity for Startups™.
Crestlight Ventures has already invested in Content Saavy, which was recently acquired by SmartFocus, Buddy and others through its Crestlight Fund I.
