Hazelcast, a Palo Alto, California-based In-Memory Data Grid and NoSQL technology provider, raised an $11M Series B funding round.
The round was led by Earlybird Venture Capital, with participation from existing investors Ali Kutay, Rod Johnson and Bain Capital Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Roland Manger from Earlybird will be joining the Board of Directors at Hazelcast.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.
Led by Talip Ozturk, founder and CTO, Hazelcast develops, distributes and supports In-Memory Data Grid. The product, Hazelcast, is a free open source download under the Apache license that any developer can include to build transactional and terascale in-memory applications.
The company provides commercially licensed Enterprise editions, Hazelcast Management Console and professional open source training, development support and deployment support.
