iHealth Lab Inc., a Mountain View, CA-based-based company that designs and manufactures mobile personal healthcare products connected through the cloud, secured $25m in its first institutional round of funding.
Xiaomi Ventures made the investment and will join iHealth’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to continue expanding its global reach, accelerate growth and invest in additional sales and marketing resources.
Launched in the US in 2010 as a subsidiary of medical device manufacturing company Andon Health Co Ltd (XSHE), iHealth provides a mobile-app enabled blood pressure device, a wireless blood pressure monitor and a wireless blood glucose monitor. Its FDA approved devices measure track and share various health vitals, including: blood glucose, blood pressure, heart rate, weight, body fat, lean body mass, activity, sleep efficiency and oxygen saturation.
In conjuinction with the funding, iHealth Lab will be formed into a new entity called iHealth, Inc., a subsidiary of Andon Health. The business will be organized into three operating divisions operating in the Americas (based in Mountain View, CA), Europe (based in Paris, France) and Asia Pacific (based in Hong Kong).
