Mhelpdesk, a Fairfax, Virginia-based provider of a cloud workflow application for small to medium-sized field service businesses to streamline their operations, received a majority investment from HomeAdvisor (NASDAQ: IACI).
The amount and the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2009 and led by Vincent Wong, CEO, Mhelpdesk provides over 10,000 customers worldwide with software featuring field service management solutions including scheduling, work orders, job tracking and invoicing.
The platform will be available to HomeAdvisor service professional members as part of a membership package starting in January 2015. In addition to promote it to its current base of 80,000 field service businesses, the company will be making the Mhelpdesk product available through a team of over 500 sales executives.
Mhelpdesk will operate as an independent business under HomeAdvisor and Wong will continue to run operations from the headquarters.
