Teleport, Inc., a Palo Alto, CA-based search engine for digital nomads, closed a $2.5m seed funding.
The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from SV Angel, Seedcamp, and individual angels from Silicon Valley and Europe.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow the team (read here).
Co-founded by Sten Tamkivi, Balaji Srinivasan and Silver Keskküla, Teleport is developing a platform for nomadic workers to move from place to place, maximize their quality of life by figuring out where to stay, what to expect, where to pay taxes or which visa to get.
The company, which also has an R&D office in Tallinn, Estonia, will launch first in San Francisco Bay Area, and then expand to cover new geographies.
