Webinar.ru, a Russian web-conferencing and video-conferencing software company, raised $7.3m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Intel Capital and EBRD with participation from Flint Capital and existing investor VTB Capital.
Led by CEO and founder Alexander Alpern, Webinar.ru is cloud and on-premise web-conferencing service for online meetings, presentations, training for use by all employees within enterprise or SMB from two to thousands of participants.
The company, which merged with COMDI in 2012 to provide online broadcasting services, serves over 3,000 corporate clients in Russia/CIS markets from multiple verticals including financial services, FMCG, retail, etc. and customers such as Sberbank, Microsoft etc.
