Zirx, a San Francisco, California-based operator of an on-demand valet parking service, closed a $6.4m Series A financing.
The round was jointly led by Norwest Venture Partners and Trinity Ventures. In conjunction with the financing, Ajay Chopra (read his blog post about the investment here) from Trinity Ventures and Sergio Monsalve from Norwest Venture Partners joined Zirx’ board.
The company intends to use the funds to expand services beyond San Francisco to additional cities throughout the United States.
Led by Sean Behr, Zirx delivers a secure on-demand valet parking experience. Using its app, a customer can choose a location from a map and is then sent the name and photo of a vetted and trained agent who meets the customer within 5-7 minutes. The agent provides a security code and parks the customer’s car in a secure storage facility. The customer can also contact the agent, who returns the car to any desired location. The experience costs $15 per use or $275 for a monthly subscription and is fully insured for up to $2M.
