Building Robotics, an Oakland, CA-based provider of software for commercial buildings, closed $5.5m Series A funding.
The round was led by Claremont Creek Ventures and The Westly Group.
Led by CEO Andrew Krioukov, Building Robotics provides Comfy, a cloud-based software platform for commercial buildings designed to answer allow building managers and occupants to adjust the temperature in their personal office space via an app or web platform. Built on an open-source platform, Comfy finds occupants’ thermal sweet spots and can dynamically adjust by incorporating usage patterns into its machine learning algorithm.
Early users include Google, Johnson Controls, and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).
