C3DNA, Inc., a Santa Clara, CA-based developer of cognition-infused enterprise meta-container technologies for hybrid clouds, raised $2m in seed funding.
The round was led by Kumar Malavalli of VKRM, the Co-founder and former CTO of Brocade™ Communications with participation from C3DNA CEO Paul Camacho, among other unnamed parties.
The company intends to use the funds to finalize technology developments.
Developed over a five-year period by technologist Dr. Rao Mikkilineni and an R&D team led by Dr. Giovanni Morana and Dr. Daniele Zito, C3DNA is advancing technology that infuses cognition into legacy and cloud-based apps while also enabling “meta-container” functionality for Docker, OpenStack and bare metal. The company’s software provides data management and security and enables hybrid cloud capability without vendor or architecture lock-in and end-to-end service visibility and control across data centers and cloud providers.
It aims to serve Fortune® 100 leaders and SMBs.
The solution will be publicly introduced in the next few weeks.
