iCapital Network, a NYC-based online private equity platform, raised $9.25m in funding.
Backers included Credit Suisse’s private fund group, Eaton Partners, Park Hill Group, Evercore’s private funds group, Pivot Investment Partners, Monument Group, Capstone Partners and Gen II Fund Services.
The company intends to use the funds to continue building out its platform and bring private funds to a broader audience.
Led by Lawrence Calcano and Dan Vene, iCapital Network is an online marketplace that connects qualified investors with private equity fund managers. Its platform enables qualified investors and their advisors to see over 2,000 private equity funds that are currently raising capital including buyout, growth equity, real estate, mezzanine, infrastructure, real assets and venture.
The platform’s suite of tools allows users to search and analyze funds as well as gain access to a subset of funds at low investment minimums through iCapital Private Access Funds. It is accessible free of charge to thousands of qualified investors and advisors, including independent RIA firms, family offices and institutional investors.
