Netpulse, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a digital platform for the fitness industry, acquired the assets of Club Apps, a provider of custom club mobile applications.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
The acquisition expands the Netpulse platform to an additional 700 clubs in the U.S. Kelly Sweeney, co-founder and former president of Club Apps, will join the Netpulse team as Vice President of Sales.
Led by Bryan Arp, co-founder and CEO, Netpulse Netpulse provides a digital engagement platform that connects health clubs to internet-connected touchscreen cardio equipment, member fitness tracking devices, sensors, and apps to deliver engagement, measurement, and monetization of members’ fitness activity, both inside and outside the club. Its products and mobile applications can be found in thousands of clubs in over 30 countries including brands like Equinox, Crunch Fitness, Gold’s Gym, Retro Fitness, and top universities, corporate fitness centers and YMCAs.
