TaskEasy, a Salt Lake City, Utah-based startup that offers on-demand, online ordering and delivery of exterior home services, closed a $7m Series A funding.
Backers included Grotech Ventures, Access Venture Partners, existing investor KickStart Seed Fund and former ServiceMagic Co-CEO and Founder Michael Beaudoin, who joined TaskEasy’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to refine its technology, like the ability to compute a fair market value for lawn mowing or snow clearing from measurements taken from a Google Earth birds-eye view of a customer’s home.
Led by CEO Ken Davis, TaskEasy applies the collaborative economy model nationwide to home exterior services with a focus on lawn care, snow clearing and holiday lighting installation. Its patent-pending formula, based on seed data from 403 statistical metropolitan areas, establishes fair market pricing throughout the U.S. in order to allow customers and service providers to focus on quality and fairness.
It has performed tens of thousands of tasks in more than 1,630 cities in all 50 states, and has certified more than 5,000 service providers.
