Wit.ai, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of a natural language platform, raised $3m in seed funding.
The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Ignition Partners, New Enterprise Associates, A-Grade Investments, SV Angel, Eric Hahn, Alven Capital, and TenOneTen.
The company intends to use the funds to continue product development.
Led by Alex Lebrun, cofounder and CEO, Wit.ai provides developers with a platform to create speech interfaces for their devices and apps via an API that turns natural language into actionable data.
Wit.ai, a Winter 2014 Y Combinator company, already powers hundreds of apps, wearable devices and home automation systems.
