AppDirect, a San Francisco, CA-based cloud service commerce company, acquired Leftronic, a Y Combinator provider of real-time business data and analytics dashboards.
The amount of the funding was not disclosed.
The acquisition expands AppDirect’s data management and visualization capabilities, a core element of its monetization and management platform, and delivers faster access to business data for its network of app marketplaces. Led by Daniel Saks, AppDirect will now provide a comprehensive platform to find, buy, manage, and monitor business apps from one location.
Through the move, Leftronic will expand its reach, provide new features for its customers and continue developing business intelligence solutions. The company will extend its KPI monitoring platform to offer identity, billing and application management features for its customers to monitor, as well as manage all of their cloud services.
Launched in 2010 by CEO Rajiv Ghanta, Leftronic offers a data visualization platform for companies to monitor key metrics and performance indicators from across their businesses. It serves a wide range of customers in a variety of industries, including Cisco, Nike, HomeAway, Yale University, Twilio, Vodafone, etc. The company will continue to operate independently while integrating its technology to AppDirect.
It is the third business to join the AppDirect: In 2013, AppDirect acquired Standing Cloud, an application packaging and orchestration company, while in 2012, jBilling, a provider of an open source billing solution.
