Fuel3D, an Oxford, UK-based developer of 3D scanning solutions, closed a $6.4m funding round.
The round was led by Chimera Partners.
The company, which had raised $2.6m earlier this year, intends to use the funds to ramp-up production, customer support and international retail distribution.
Led by Stuart Mead, CEO, Fuel3D develops advanced 3D scanning systems and solutions. Its handheld 3D scanner delivers high-resolution shape and color capture for a range of 3D modeling applications, such as 3D printing, as well as on-screen applications like 3D art, animation and game development.
The company had also raised more than $300k in a Kickstarter campaign in 2013.
