Quanta Fluid Solutions Ltd, an Alcester, UK-based developer of advanced haemodialysis systems, closed a £27m approximately funding.
The round was led by ALIAD, the venture capital investment vehicle of Air Liquide SA (Paris: AI), with participation from new investor Seventure Partners, as well as existing investors Wellington Partners, Seroba Kernel, NBGI Ventures, b-to-v Partners and IMI plc (LSE: IMI).
Led by John E. Milad, Chief Executive Officer, Quanta Fluid Solutions develops SC+, a portable, compact haemodialysis system for use in the clinic and the home.
The company, which was founded in 2008 as a spin out from the FTSE 100 engineering company IMI plc, intends to use the funds for the clinical introduction and commercial launch of SC+.
