7Invensun, a Beijing, China-based eye-tracking solution provider, received an investment of undisclosed amount from Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM).
The company is expected to be funded through the company’s $150M strategic Chinaventure fund that was announced earlier in 2014. The investment is part of a Qualcomm commitment to invest an aggregate of $40m into four Chinese companies and the China Walden Venture Investments, L.P. fund.
Founded in 2009, 7Invensun focuses on research and development of eye-tracking technology, widely applied in the field of medical & health, virtual reality and movie entertainment, providing a new generation of human-machine interaction experience for enterprises and individuals.
The company, which has a research center located in Zhongguancun–the Silicon Valley in China, has planned to develop a series of product like sSee (eye-tracking device), aGlass (wearable glasses), aMouse (head-tracking mouse), AlmightyEye, etc.
