According to a regulatory filing with the S.E.C. (read here), Ginger.io, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of behavioral health analytics platform, raised $20m in funding.
Three (still) unnamed backers participated in the round.
Co-founded by Anmol Madan, PhD, CEO & Data Scientistm and Karan Singh, Sales & Marketing, Ginger.io uses patient smartphones to identify patterns in patients’ behavior and mental state that may impact their health and well-being and allow providers to reach out when patients need support and deliver the right care at the right time.
The company, which is a spinoff from the MIT Media Lab, is currently working with U.S. healthcare institutions including Kaiser Permanente, UCSF, Novant Health and Centerstone/CRI.
