Hired, a San Francisco, CA-based job marketplace, closed a $15m Series B funding.
Backers included Silicon Valley Bank, Comcast Ventures, Lumia Capital, Crosslink Capital, Sierra Ventures, SoftTech and SherpaVentures.
The company, which has now raised $32.7m, intends to use the funds for growth and expansion into new verticals and markets.
Led by Matt Mickiewicz, CEO and co-founder, Hired provides a marketplace that connects technical and sales talent with over 1,600 companies. Since inception, it has facilitated nearly $5 billion in job offers and streamlined the job search process for software engineers, data scientists, designers and product managers.
The company, which expanded its marketplace from San Francisco to New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston and London in 2014, plans to expand to a new city every six weeks in 2015.
