Hubba, a Toronto, Canada-based product information network, closed a $3.1m seed funding round.
Backers included Brightspark and The Social + Capital Partnership as well as angels who serve or have served in leadership positions at Facebook, Instagram, Uber, Airbnb, Baidu, PayPal and EMC.
Led by Ben Zifkin, founder and CEO, Hubba provides a cloud-based Product Information Network, which allows brands and retailers to exchange current and correct product information. It acts as a single source for brands to curate product content in one place and synchronize it to an infinite amount of business connections in real-time. This content can include product images, videos, documents, product benefits, marketing assets, pricing, etc. Within 90 days of launch, 500 companies representing over 2,500 brands across the CPG, fashion, beauty, baby, sports apparel and footwear, and health and wellness industries have used the platform.
