sureCore Ltd., a Sheffield, UK-based low-power SRAM IP company focused on advanced technology nodes, received £1m (approximately US$1.6m) in Series A funding.
Backers included Capital-E. Initial funding came from Finance Yorkshire’s Seedcorn Fund, and an innovation award from Innovate UK.
The company, which has raised £2.1m (approxiamtely US$3.4m in total), intends to use the funds for the planned engineering expansion, productization and commercialization of its low power, variability tolerant SRAM technology that is currently undergoing evaluation at a number of leading semiconductor companies.
Led by CEO Paul Wells and Chairman Guillaume D’Eyssautier, sureCore develops low power memories for next generation silicon process technologies. Its low power SRAM design is process independent and variability tolerant, making it suitable for a wide range of technology nodes.
