Ascentis Corp., a San Mateo, Calif.-based provider of human resources software, raised $7m in Series C funding.
The round was led by Catalyst Investors.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the business and develop innovative HCM products.
Led by CEO DJ Chhabra, Ascentis Corporation provides software-as-a-service human resources software, online payroll services, and human capital management (HCM) solutions, which aim to automate HR and payroll processes such as full-scale benefits management, compliance, online open enrollment, time and attendance, real-time payroll processing, tax filing, applicant tracking, employee and manager self-serviceand reporting.
The company is also backed by Palm Ventures.
