Brugola O.E.B. Industriale S.p.A., a Monza, Italy-based producer of fastening components for the automotive industry, received a €20m minority equity investment from Fondo Italiano d’Investimento.
The company intends to use the proceeds to expand into North America through the construction of a new production facility in Michigan.
Founded in 1926 and led by Egidio Brugola, CEO and majority shareholder, Brugola currently is a global leader in the production of critical bolts, dedicated to assembling an automotive and light- truck engine’s vital components. It produces 800 different types of bolts (7 million bolts manufactured every day) serving 55 customer factories globally. The company has a turnover of approx. €120m, and employs over 300 people in 4 production sites in Lissone – Italy, 1 logistics center in Desio – Italy, and other 11 logistics centers in the world.
