Collabco, a Liverpool, UK-based software company which has developed a new system to allow universities, colleges and schools to engage with their learners, raised £250k in funding.
The funding was provided jointly by The North West Fund for Venture Capital, managed by Enterprise Ventures, and The North West Fund for Digital & Creative, managed by AXM.
The company, which had raised an earlier round in March 2014 and £920k in total, intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.
Founded in 2009 by IT professional Dave Bown and led by Matt Dunkin, Managing Director, Collabco provides higher education institutions across the UK with a system to collate all the information that students need including calendars, timetable, attendance, grades, library information, fines and payments, news and social media feeds, all integrated with their virtual learning environment, and accessed on students’ laptop or mobile devices.
The system is used by over 30 higher education institutions.
