Koru, a Seattle, WA-based talent marketplace focused on college grads, completed an $8m Series A financing.
The round was led by Maveron with participation from new investors City Light Capital and Trilogy Equity Partners and existing investors Battery Ventures and First Round Capital.
The company, which has raised $12.57m to date, will use the funds to continue to scale its growing programs, which are now available in Boston, San Francisco and Seattle, and invest in technology,
Co-founded by CEO Kristen Hamilton and Josh Jarrett, Koru provides an intensive business program that teaches college grads relevant skills in a real-work setting and gets them hired. Designed to develop the competencies that innovative companies seek, the company aims to give recent college graduates the relevant skills, experience, and network to be workplace-ready and, furthermore, places them inside the best companies in the US.
Koru also added Christina Mautz as the Vice President of Marketing.
