Nubelo, a Barcelona, Spain-based online employment platform, raised €2.5m in funding.
The round was led by La Caixa Capital Risc, with participation from Nero Ventures and Nazca Ventures as well as public funds.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations in Spain.
Founded in 2011 by Francesc Font and Carlos Rodrigo, Nubelo is an online marketplace for freelance services, allowing freelancers to find jobs and employers to hire workers.
In 2014, the company launched an Enterprise Solutions for large companies and Nubersidad, a learning platform for freelancers.
Nubelo is currently present in Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil and Chile, and employs 28 people in total.
