PlaySwell, a San Diego, CA community where people showcase and share products, raised $1m in seed funding.
Backers included WI Harper, Crosslink, New Atlantic Ventures, and Artiman.
Led by Jordan Greenhall, who was the founding CEO of DivX, PlaySwell has built an online community where people showcase and share special products they have discovered but may not get the attention they deserve.
The PlaySwell Alpha site includes everyday consumer goods, including pocket knives, headphones, drones, music, books, movies, kids toys, specialty foods, and purses.
