ZippyApp, a Sunnyvale, CA-based common application platform for hourly job seekers and employers, raised a Series A funding round.
The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
Sierra Angels and Sacramento Angels members participated in the round. In conjunction with the funding, Ron Randolph-Wall, a Sierra Angels Member, joined ZippyApp’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to pursue strategic partnerships and expand their customer base. They plan to add multiple franchises to their list of customers, including movie theaters, while furthering their traction within the fast food industry.
Led by Kamyar Faron, Founder and CEO, ZippyApp has developed proprietary software to support the job application process for hourly wageworkers through cloud-based computing and a mobile application. With the scan of a QR code, a prospective hire can fill out an application and send it to an employer. Employers benefit from an application management service that offers customized solutions for applicant matching, multi-location and position posting, mobile hosting, and branding personalization.
