AppDirect Raises $50M in Series D Funding

-

AppDirect, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of cloud service commerce solutions, raised $50m in Series D funding.

The round was led by Mithril Capital Management with participation from Henry Kravis and Paul Fribourg.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its global reach and scale its sales, marketing and client services teams, and sign new partnerships.

Led by Daniel Saks, co-founder and co-CEO, AppDirect provides a platform that enables businesses to find, buy, manage and monitor cloud services from a central location and delivers new opportunities to distribute, sell, and market cloud services. Its marketplaces, billing and distribution, and reselling services allows help providers – including Samsung, Telstra, Deutsche Telekom, ADP and others – to connect millions of business users to solutions from Microsoft, Google, Box, DocuSign etc.

In 2015, the company plans to increase its employee count to over 300, expand its Munich and Montreal offices, and open a new office in Silicon Valley and to increase its presence in Asia and Latin America.
