DigiSight Technologies, Inc., a Portola Valley, Calif.-based software company that integrates data from mobile tests into clinical settings, raised $7.8m in Series B financing.
Backers included new investors Biosys Capital, Waycross Ventures, GE Ventures, and Lagunita LLC, which joined existing investors.
The company will use the proceeds to continue developing the DigiSight Network™ and other specialized remote monitoring technologies with an expanded team.
Founded by Drs. Mark Blumenkranz and Daniel Palanker of Stanford University and led by CEO Doug Foster, DigiSight has developed the DigiSight Network™, which creates a connection for data from mobile devices to move into clinical settings. The first specialty in the company’s commercialization strategy is ophthalmology. Patients generate ophthalmic data using mobile devices and share that data with permissioned care providers in real-time. These tests provide physicians insight into patient performance between regular office examinations.
