FamilyID, Inc., a Waltham, MA-based online registration and payment platform for all types of programs such as schools, camps, teams and clubs, raised $850k in its first institutional round.
The round was led by Boston Seed Capital with participation from CommonAngels Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Peter Blacklow, a senior Partner at Boston Seed Capital and formerly the president of WorldWinner, a subsidiary of GSN (Game Show Network), is joining the FamilyID board.
The company, which has raised $1m in total, intends to use the funds to expand the team, sales and marketing programs, and invest in product development.
Led by Rochelle Nemrow, founder and CEO, FamilyID provides organizations like art schools, athletic departments, summer camps, club sports, etc., with a cloud-based platform to manage program registrations and payments. The solution serves both the needs of the program provider and their registrants, and can be used alongside any internal administrative software.
